2D CFD Simulation of Dynamic Heat Transfer in an Open-Type Refrigerated Display Cabinet

This study uses a simplified two-dimensional time-dependent computational fluid dynamic (CFD) model to the influence of wall shelf configuration and outtake honeycomb inclination angle on performance air curtain in an open-type semi-vertical refrigerated display cabinet. Numerical simulation results show that changing angle, along with configuration, can reduce temperature intake grille improve warm/cold ratio. The average simulated food products decreased by 1.2 °C compared unmodified cabinet began meet requirements category 3M0. proposed CFD was validated experimental results. obtained are important for design product storage quality energy consumption.
